Terms of Service
Heica for macOS
Last updated: 4 September 2026
Acceptance
By downloading, installing or using Heica ("the App"), published by Metromedya ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
What the App does
Heica is a macOS application that converts HEIC and HEIF photos to JPG. It runs on your Mac and writes new files into a folder you choose. Your source files are not modified.
Licence
We grant you a limited, non exclusive, non transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Macs you own or control, for your own personal or professional work.
Your responsibilities
- Use the App in line with the laws that apply to you
- Hold the rights to the photos you process, or the permission of whoever does
- Keep your own copies of anything you care about; a converter writes files, and you decide where
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App
- Do not redistribute, sublicense or resell the App
Your content
The photos you convert remain yours. We claim no rights over them, and we never receive them.
Intellectual property
The App, its name and its icon belong to Metromedya and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.
No warranty
The App is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of defects, or that a converted file will suit every purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Metromedya is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of files.
Changes
We may revise these terms. The date at the top of the page marks the current version, and continued use of the App means you accept it.
