Faster for macOS

This policy describes what Faster ("the App"), published by Metromedya ("we"), does with your information. The short version: your videos stay on your Mac.

Your videos

Faster reads the video files you open and writes the file you export. All of that happens on your Mac, using your Mac's own processing power. Video is never uploaded, never sent to a server of ours, and never shared with anyone.

What we collect

Nothing. There are no accounts, no sign in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not build a profile of you and we have no way to identify you.

Files and permissions

Sandbox

Faster runs in the macOS App Sandbox. It can read and write the files you choose or drop on the window, and nothing else.

Preview cache

To keep playback smooth at high speeds, Faster can prepare a light copy of the video you are working on. That copy is stored on your Mac. You can see its size and delete it at any time from Settings.

The one network request

The Other Apps tab in Settings loads a list of our other apps, with their icons, from metromedya.com. That request carries no information about you, your Mac or your videos. If you never open that tab, the App makes no network request at all.

Children

Faster is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised policy.
