Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Q: Tally won't count files in my project
A: Make sure the files you're dropping are supported code file types. Check the file permissions and ensure Tally has access to the folder.

Q: The app seems slow with large projects
A: Tally 2.0 includes major performance improvements. For very large projects (100,000+ files), processing may take a moment but should be significantly faster than previous versions.

Q: Can I exclude certain files or folders?
A: You can use the built-in file type filters to focus on specific file types and exclude others.

Q: Does Tally work with git repositories?
A: Yes! Tally works with any folder structure including git repositories. It will analyze all files in the dropped folder regardless of version control.
